Laverne - Boston Terrier Dog for Adoption in Milford, Michigan

Hi! I’m Laverne, a 1 1/2-year-old Boston Terrier mix weighing about 38 pounds.

I had a pretty rough start in life, but you’d never know it by my spirit. I’m a happy, affectionate, smart girl with lots of energy and an even bigger love for life! One of my absolute favorite things is running and playing with other dogs. In fact, I love having a canine buddy so much that my forever home must have another playful dog who is 50 pounds or under.

I’m not a huge fan of leash walks, so my ideal home will also have a securely fenced yard where I can run, play, and burn off some of that young-dog energy with my new four-legged sibling.

I can get a little too enthusiastic when I’m excited and sometimes try to nibble fingers during play. I’m not being mean—I just haven’t quite figured out what to do with all that excitement yet! Because of this, any children in the home or who regularly visit must be at least 12 years old.

The good news? I’m already house trained and crate trained, so I have some very important life skills under my belt! I’m also spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and I’ve had surgery to correct my cherry eye.

Now I’m just missing one thing: a family of my very own.

My sister has already found her forever family, and I’m hoping my turn is coming soon. I’ve been through a lot in my short life, but I haven’t let it stop me from being the sweet, playful girl I am. I’m ready for the good part now.
