Meet Jolene - A Little Shy, A Little Silly, and a Whole Lot of Sweet!

Her name is Jolene, and she's looking for someone to call home!
Jolene is a 4-5-year-old former puppy mill mama who has likely been through more than her fair share of life's challenges. We suspect she may have been dumped, and she spent weeks hanging around a church before she was finally caught and brought to safety. We may never know her whole story, but we do know she deserves a happy ending.

Jolene is a shy, skittish girl with a silly little personality hiding underneath all that uncertainty. New people can be scary, and she needs time, patience, and a little space to figure out that you're one of the good ones. But once she starts feeling comfortable? She'll sneak over for pets and loving when you least expect it. And honestly, those little moments when she chooses to trust you are pretty special. Due to her anxiousness, we do not recommend a home with young children and supervision is recommended with any visiting children. She absolutely loves other dogs! Cats are unknown.

She's also housetrained, although she may still have an accident here and there. Considering her past and the possibility that she spent years living in a pen or cage and having litter after litter, we think she deserves a little grace while she continues learning what it means to be a beloved family dog.
Jolene needs a patient, understanding home that will let her blossom at her own pace. She may not be the girl who runs up to greet every visitor or jumps into your lap on day one. But give her time, kindness, and a safe place to land, and you may just discover that a shy little dog has been hiding a whole lot of love behind those worried eyes.
