DESCRIPTION
Joe is the kind of dog who makes you want to throw on your hiking boots and disappear into the woods for the afternoon. Athletic, goofy, and full of personality, this handsome adventure buddy is searching for an active home that values fresh air, exploration, and a loyal trail companion. Whether it’s hiking wooded trails, camping under the stars, or simply tossing a squeaky ball around the yard, Joe is happiest when he has something fun to do alongside his favorite person.
Before joining us, Joe spent time living on a farm around horses, where he developed his love for outdoor life and wide open spaces. He’s independent by nature and not the clingy “must-be-touching-you-at-all-times” type. Instead, Joe thrives in a partnership built on shared activity, trust, and mutual respect for personal space. Once he settles into his routine, he becomes a confident and self-sufficient companion who is simply happy to be part of your adventures.
Joe is house trained, crate trained, and knows commands including sit, stay, come, down, off, and free. He’s also an elite-level squeaky ball enthusiast and takes his stuffed toy destruction responsibilities very seriously. His ideal reward package includes bones, hides, pig ears, and other natural treats.
If your dream dog is more “weekend camping buddy” than “professional cuddler,” Joe may be exactly who you’ve been searching for. He’s funny, spirited, outdoorsy, and ready to find the person who will appreciate all the joy and adventure he brings to the table.
ABOUT: BORDER TERRIER DOG BREED

With a wiry, weather resistant coat and an otter like head, they were originally bred for hunting foxes and vermin along the Scottish border. These energetic and intelligent dogs excel in various canine activities, including agility and obedience. Their friendly and playful demeanor makes them wonderful companions for active families, especially those who enjoy outdoor adventures with their loyal four legged friends.
