Starfire - Border Collie Dog for Adoption in The Dalles, Oregon

Our sweet, sweet border collie sister duo are available for adoption! Raven and Starfire were picked up by animal control in The Dalles as strays, after never getting claimed or picked up they became CGHS dogs! These two sisters have been living in a foster home for almost a month now but they are ready to finally find their furever homes (together or separate). Their foster has left some key information on each of their personalities, and here is what they wrote for Starfire:

"Starfire is sweet but a little less confident in herself but a total people pleaser. She is incredibly sweet with my kids but will jump on them occasionally. She is not at all mouthy but does love to lick! My son can run around with both of them on the leash and have the time of his life and I don’t have to worry about either of them hurting him, I trust both of them whole heartedly with kids. She is also a connoisseur of toddler shoes lol she knows how to sit and lay down and will do it on the first or second ask most of the time. She also comes fairly well. She is also perfect in her crate and knows the term “kennel” and hasn’t had accidents in there or in my house. She is less interested in my cats than her sister which is great. If she gets off leash in the barn yard she will mostly stick around, but if she runs towards the house we can call her back and she will usually come. (Child in house) especially loves her because she is very gentle with him, aside from occasionally jumping on him. I think she is the main culprit for digging, but I’m certain Raven joins in as well. "

These girls have been doing great with the dogs, kids, and cats in the household so they will make the perfect addition to any family! They are a working breed who will require lots of mental stimulation and exercise to be truly fulfilled but with how sweet their demeanor is we have no doubt they will be amazing family dogs! They are still puppies who will need training, such as recall and learning basic commands of course!

(They have been living in a foster home together with no accidents so these girls are available as a unit or individually)
