Willow - Border Collie and Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Newport Beach, California

Willow is a 14-week-old, 13 lb Border Collie mix with an incredible zest for life and the sweetest disposition. She arrived at the San Bernardino City shelter with what appeared to be two underdeveloped eyes. A visit with an eye specialist confirmed that Willow was born with a condition called microphthalmia and she does not have any vision.

But don’t tell Willow she’s any different! This happy little girl is full of life, love and curiosity, and she is ready to explore the world through her nose, ears and all of her other senses. She navigates life with enthusiasm and doesn’t let her lack of vision slow her down.

Willow is dog friendly, walks well on leash and is a loving, affectionate puppy who enjoys being close to her people. She has the most adorable black-and-white markings and a fuzzy, soft coat that makes her extra snuggly.

We are awaiting her full DNA results. In the meantime, Willow is looking for a loving family who will embrace her exactly as she is and help her continue building confidence as she grows. She may experience the world a little differently, but Willow is ready to live a wonderfully full and happy life.
