Howie has all the wonderful qualities people love about Border Collies—hes intelligent, eager to please, playful, and always excited to spend time with his people. Whether its a game of fetch, exploring a new trail, or making new dog friends, hes ready for the fun. But once the adventure is over, his favorite place is right next to you on the couch, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Hes the perfect combination of active companion and cuddle bug.

Howie earned his name in the sweetest way. While in foster care, he completely stole the heart of his one-year-old human foster sibling. Every time she saw him, shed excitedly say, How, How! Before long, he started responding to it, and everyone agreed it fit his happy, lovable personality perfectly. The name Howie was officially his.

At approximately 35 pounds, Howie is the perfect medium-sized companion. Hes affectionate, social with other dogs, and eager to learn. His foster family cant say enough wonderful things about him and truly believes he will make an incredible addition to a lucky family.

Howie is currently being fostered in Austin, Texas, but he is available for adoption anywhere in the United States with an additional transport fee.

His adoption fee is just $300 and includes all age-appropriate veterinary care, vaccinations, neuter, and a microchip.
