Bubba - Border Collie and Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Fries, Virginia

Bubba is a handsome Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix who is looking for a family to call his own! This sweet boy came to us as a house dog, and it shows. He knows how to be a wonderful companion and would much rather be your best friend than spend his days working livestock.

Bubba is house trained, kennel trained, great with kids, wonderful with other people, and gets along beautifully with dogs and cats. He has also been with us at the rescue for several months and has proven himself to be absolutely wonderful around our livestock. He respects the animals around him and has done great living in a farm environment.

While Bubba has the brains and instincts of his breeds, he is much more of a pet than a working dog. He enjoys going for walks, playing, exploring, and spending time with his people, but he doesn’t need a job to be happy. What he really wants is to be part of a family.

Bubba has such a great balance of personality. He can enjoy an adventure and some playtime, but he is also perfectly happy being your companion and hanging out with you. He would make a fantastic addition to an active family, a farm family, or simply someone looking for a loyal four-legged buddy.

After spending several months waiting at the rescue, Bubba is more than ready for the next chapter of his life. He has so much love, personality, and companionship to offer — he just needs someone to see what a special boy he is.
