Meet MacMillan!

MacMillan is an older Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix puppy with a big heart and a bright mind! This lap-loving, curious boy is playful, friendly, and incredibly smart. He loves to learn and wants to train, making him a great match for a family excited to keep that clever brain busy.

MacMillan is doing well with potty training and is already a crate-training superstar. He sleeps downstairs in a semi-covered crate at night and is crated when home alone, with no whining or issues. He loves to run and play but also settles nicely for naps during the day.

He has done very well with his foster family's older kids, ages 10 and 13. Since he's an enthusiastic puppy who likes to jump up on people, older children may be the best fit. His experience with other dogs has been limited, and cats are unknown, but his foster believes he could enjoy having a canine companion. He has also shown no aggression toward wildlife or the family's chickens.

MacMillan's ideal home will have a fenced yard where he can safely run and play, along with people who will continue his training and give him plenty of love and activity.
