Matilda - Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dog for Adoption in Evergreen, Colorado

Meet Matilda — Beauty, Brains, and a Whole Lot of Heart! Matilda is a gorgeous Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog mix with a brilliant mind, a loving heart, and a zest for life! She’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, loyal to her people, and wonderfully affectionate.

This clever girl has a sensitive side, too. Matilda can become overstimulated in busy environments, and she needs a home that understands her and sets her up for success. Her ideal match would be one or two adults in a calm, predictable household, with fewer visitors and plenty of opportunities for one-on-one bonding, training, walks, and enrichment.Herding breed experience is a must for Matilda. She is a typical female herding breed - she likes things to be in order and if she feels they are not, she nips and herds.

She is affectionate with other dogs and cats although her play style is exuberrant and too much for many dogs. She loves to snuggle with the cat but if a cat runs, game on. Her future family will need to manage interactions carefully and be committed to continuing her training.

Matilda has so much to offer the right person! She is sweet, loving, intelligent, and eager to bond with her people. She deserves a home where she can relax, feel secure, and shine without the stress of a busy household or competing for attention.

If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will keep you on your toes intellectually and fill your heart with love, Matilda may be your girl. She needs more than a home that admires her beauty and brains—she needs a home that understands her and is ready to help her thrive.
