Grady
Grady is the last remaining puppy from a litter of six that came to me from a tiny rural town in Kansas. Before they were rescued, the puppies had been surviving together, roaming dirt roads and scavenging for food until animal control rounded them up. They were all scheduled to be euthanized.
Thankfully, that wasnt the end of their story.
After leaving Kansas, the litter spent time with a wonderful foster in New Mexico before making the journey here to Massachusetts. Following quarantine, Grady and his siblings came to live with me, where theyve spent the past year learning what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family.
When Grady first arrived, he seemed to carry the responsibility of protecting his brothers and sisters. As each sibling found a home, I watched him slowly relax. It was as though he realized he no longer had to be the one looking out for everyone else.
Today, Grady is a sweet, affectionate, well-socialized young dog who has grown into a wonderful companion. Hes great with people, other dogs, and even cats. Hes had the time, structure, and guidance to truly blossom, and it has been incredible to watch.
Now Grady is the last one waiting.
After watching every one of his siblings find loving families, its finally his turn. I cant wait for the person who sees this loyal, gentle boy for the treasure he truly is.
