Rooney is a 2-year-old, 55-lb Border Collie mix who spent a few days in a storm foster-and in that short time, he completely stole their heart.

His foster says he's a dream! Rooney is affectionate, wonderful with people and dogs, and has been his foster's constant shadow since the minute he arrived. He just wants to be near his people and is going to make an incredible companion.

He's also a smart cookie! He's quickly catching on to house training with frequent potty breaks, does great in his crate, and is eager to learn. He still needs to work on some basic manners, but his sweet, gentle nature makes him an absolute joy to teach.

Rooney is the kind of dog who will happily follow you from room to room and make you feel like you've had a best friend forever.
