Santa’s little helper was found roaming the busy streets of Houston, trying to survive on her own. Thankfully, a foster stepped up just in time and gave her the second chance she deserved.

At just about 1 year old and 30 lbs, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion with a gentle soul.

She’s a very shy girl at first, but incredibly sweet and affectionate once she feels safe. She’s not hyper, she’s calm, observant, and just wants a peaceful place to land. She is scared of loud and sudden movements and sounds. Because of this, a home with older children would be best. Like many dogs coming off the streets, she’ll need a patient adopter who understands the importance of decompression and giving her time to adjust at her own pace.

In her foster home, she lives with 3 children, small and large dogs and 1 cat. She enjoys going on walks, which she uses to bond with both her humans and other dogs. Santa would do best in a home, with another dog.

• On heartworm, flea, and tick prevention
