Border Collie and Australian Shepherd Dogs Available for Adoption in Austin, Texas

Brownie was found as a stray, and someone in the community saw her looking for food. The shelter was full, so she went to a foster home. We agreed to help Brownie find a forever home, and she has now completed her veterinary care. We hope someone will see this beautiful girl and adopt her.

Brownie has come a long way since we rescued her. She can now walk on a leash knows basic commands. She is shy when meeting new people, but she relaxes quickly. She sleeps through the night in or out of her crate. She is not a resource guarder and loves to cuddle on the couch with her people.

Brownie is house trained and likes to go for walks. She has done great with children as young as 8 and loves every dog she meets. She is very smart and learns quickly.

Brownie is 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds. We think she’s a Border Collie and Australian Shepherd mix. She is spayed, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. She is also microchipped, heartworm negative and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
