Roofus is a 6-year-old Blue tick Coonhound with charm to spare. He loves people and will happily lean in for ear scratches, belly rubs, and cuddles. He also gets along with everyone, including other dogs and cats, so he’ll fit right into a busy, multi-pet home. Roofus is 61 lbs of love and silliness. He will keep you smiling all day.

• He’s a total goofball. His silly antics and funny personality will keep you laughing every day.

• He’s a dream on a leash. Roofus is easy to walk, so strolls around the neighborhood are a pleasure.

• He’s an outdoor adventurer. Sunshine, fresh air, and interesting smells are his favorite things. He is a hound, after all!

• He’s food-motivated. Roofus LOVES his food, which makes him eager to please (and very easy to bribe with treats).

Roofus’s perfect home:
Roofus needs a home with a fenced yard where he can sniff and explore safely, plus someone who will take him on regular walks. Roofus is still refining his house training. He’ll do best with a patient family who can stick to a consistent routine, with regular trips outside and lots of praise when he gets it right. We believe he was previously an outdoor dog and although he is catching on quickly, he is still in need of structure and routine for consistency. Since he loves the outdoors, he’s doing very well on going outside. If you enjoy time outdoors and want a happy, easygoing buddy by your side, Roofus could be your match!

At 6, Roofus has outgrown his puppy chaos but still has plenty of pep in his step and lots of love to give. He’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and tail wags to his forever family.

- Please do not ask if a dog is still available - we do our best to update their status as quickly as possible. If a dog is listed for adoption, it means we have not yet approved an adopter and are still accepting applications.
