Ruby - Bloodhound Dog for Adoption in Stanton, Kentucky

Ruby is a big goof. She is all about having fun! She is always up for new acquaintances whether human or canine. She is sure to make some fun.
Ruby is a young adult and her size is about 70 lbs. She was found alone and roaming in a rural neighborhood. She was not claimed.

We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help.

ADOPTION FEES APPLY- Dogs $200 Cats $100. (We are not set up for credit or debit payments.)

Families with young children are required to have a fenced yard to prevent accidental escape of pets.

The shelter is open Monday thru Friday from 9 - 3 p.m. except Thursdays (closed). Appointments are recommended. Saturday hours normally 10 - noon or by appt.

After hours appts can be arranged with advance notice and an approved application. We want to accommodate!

We are glad to answer any questions. Adoption rates include a spay or neuter, vaccines, & deworming. Surgeries are mandatory!

Shelter is located at 121 Echo Hollow Rd - Clay City, Ky 40312.

We are 45 minutes east of Lexington, Ky.

The bloodhound is a large scent hound known for its exceptional tracking abilities. With a distinctive wrinkled face and droopy ears, these dogs have a keen sense of smell, second only to the beagle. Bloodhounds are gentle, affectionate, and good with children, making them excellent family pets. Their determination and relentless tracking skills have made them invaluable in search and rescue missions. Regular exercise and mental stimulation are essential to keep these intelligent dogs happy and healthy.
