On some days, Ralph is convinced he’s a highly trained Belgian Malinois—ready to parachute into action, secure the perimeter, and save the day. On other days, he’s a full-blown kid at recess, joyfully rolling down hills just because… well, why not?

When Ralph first came to us, we were told he needed another dog. Plot twist: he really doesn’t. He gets along great with both our big and small dogs, but he’s perfectly confident flying solo. That said, he does take cues from bigger dogs—and if he can look you dead in the eye, he assumes you’ve just signed up for a wrestling match. Consider yourself warned.

Ralph is incredibly friendly and loves all people. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be your ride-or-die—your co-pilot on every adventure. Speaking of which, he’s an excellent passenger and fully believes car rides are one of life’s greatest inventions.

Fearless doesn’t even begin to cover it. Loud noises? Nope. Kids sprinting at him? Bring it on. Discipline? He’ll take it in stride and keep moving. Ralph does not come with a built-in “guard dog” setting—he’s too busy being everyone’s best friend—but with his intelligence and drive, he could probably be trained to do just about anything.

He’s extremely food motivated, eager to please, and thrives with confident leadership. Let’s just say… a soft, gentle “no” might get politely ignored. Ralph respects someone who means business.
