When Poppy first came to us, the world felt a little big and a little loud. She’s still learning that life can be soft, safe, and full of people who adore her — but through it all, she has remained endlessly sweet, gentle, and loving. She’s the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart while curled up beside you for a nap.

Poppy likes to take her time getting comfortable with other dogs, calmly observing but once she realizes all is good-she jumps in. Poppy enjoys chasing, wrestling, and bouncing around like she’s been part of the pack forever.

Her favorite hobby is collecting “treasures” — socks, shoes, balls, stuffies… if it can be carried, there’s a good chance Poppy will proudly transport it to her bed to add to her growing collection. She’s not much of a barker, but she does make the funniest little whiny-grunty noises when she’s excited or really wants to be close to you. And if you happen to scratch her? She melts instantly into a puddle of happiness.

Poppy loves everyone she meets — adults, kids, dog friends — and while she’s still building confidence, she’s already mastered the art of being the perfect companion. She’ll be your shadow, your couch buddy, your nap partner, and your gentle little soulmate wrapped up in floppy ears and puppy eyes.
