Gunnie's story with us actually started from the very beginning-he came through our doors as a tiny newborn puppy alongside his amazing mama (and if you could've seen her, you'd know where he gets his sweetness from!). Now at nearly 8 months old, Gunnie has found his way back to us, and we're getting to know the young dog he's becoming.

Gunnie is a sensitive, gentle soul who's still figuring out that the world isn't such a scary place. New people and situations can make him nervous at first, and he may give a few little "boof" barks while trying his best to look big and brave. But don't be fooled-his tough act melts quickly. With a little patience (and maybe a few tasty treats), Gunnie will crouch, crawl, and wiggle his way right into your lap for comfort and love.

Once he feels safe, his true personality shines through: incredibly sweet, affectionate, and eager to bond with his people. Gunnie is the kind of dog who will form a deep connection with someone willing to guide him and show him that life can be fun and safe.

He does have a hearty appetite and will need a slow feeder to help him pace himself at mealtime-but honestly, that just adds to his goofy charm.
