Dixie’s heart is as big as her personality. She is affectionate, playful, and loves spending time with the people she trusts.
Once she feels comfortable, she's a loyal companion who enjoys both adventure and relaxing by your side.

Dixie adjusts very well to women. She can be more cautious around men, so we recommend slow, patient introductions that allow her to build trust at her own pace.

She has done well with other dogs when given proper decompression time and thoughtful introductions. Because of this, an experienced dog owner who understands canine body language and the importance of setting dogs up for success would be the best match for her.

Dixie is house trained and has excellent manners in the home.
Due to her enthusiasm and the fact that she doesn't always realize how big and strong she is, we recommend a home with children 12 years or older.

With structure, patience, and love, Dixie will reward her family with endless affection, goofy moments, and unwavering loyalty.
She's looking for someone willing to give her the time she needs to settle in—and in return, she'll become an incredible lifelong companion.
