Meet Velcro, a dog with a sad tale who is now headed for a happy ending!

For 2 and a half years, Velcro’s world was a southern vet office, in a dog run, where he was used as a blood donor dog. He spent so much of his young life helping others, but he never really had the chance to learn what it means to simply be a dog.

Now Velcro is discovering a whole new world in his southern foster home—and he’s taking it one step at a time. The sights, sounds, routines, and busyness of a normal home are all new to him, but he is slowly adjusting and beginning to understand that life can be so much more. Velcro can be startled by sudden noises and is not sure about that thing called a TV, but he is getting better every day. This handsome guy does love being outside, check out his video!

Velcro needs a calm, quiet and patient home where he can continue to learn at his own pace. He doesn’t need a busy household or a lot of expectations—just someone willing to give him time, kindness, and the security he has never known.
