is a sweet and gentle 4-month-old, 30-pound pup with a heart full of love.
More from her foster Mom.. If you ask Avery what her favorite thing is, the answer is easy-being with her people. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, working from home, or just moving around the house, Avery wants nothing more than to be by your side. She's a true companion who loves soaking up all the affection she can get.

This food-loving girl is incredibly polite when taking treats and is eager to learn. She's just beginning to discover how much fun toys can be and is starting to understand that bringing them back is part of the game!

Because everything is still so new to her, Avery can be shy and easily overwhelmed. Meeting new people takes time, unfamiliar sounds outside can be intimidating, and new dogs are a little scary. Even so, she has a very submissive nature and is making steady progress as her confidence grows.

Avery is learning all the important puppy skills. She's getting the hang of walking on a leash, is mostly house-trained with just a few accidents as she continues learning, and we're currently working on crate training. She quickly relaxes outside of her crate while her foster mom works from home. She would thrive with a family committed to continuing her training, and puppy classes would be a fantastic way to help build her confidence while strengthening your bond.

Avery is currently being fostered with a cat. They're both still figuring each other out, and Avery is just as unsure about the cat as the cat is about her, so slow, supervised introductions will continue to be important.

The perfect home for Avery is one that understands that confidence takes time to build. With patience, kindness, positive reinforcement, and lots of love, this sweet girl is going to blossom into an incredibly loyal companion. Watching Avery come out of her shell has been so rewarding, and her forever family will have the privilege of seeing her continue that journey.
