Dog’s Age & Sex: 1 year old male

Dog’s approximate weight: 70 lbs

Animals story: (where found and reason for rehoming): We found Bodhi abandoned at about 6 weeks old, we had a massive search for his owners but nobody came forward. We decided to foster him until we could find them, but ended up falling in love and adopted him shortly after. He has been a wonderful addition to our family, although he has always been guarded with food and treats. Recently he bit our 6 year old son when he tried to pet him while eating. It breaks our heart but with our 4 year old and 6 year old in the home, we feel that he would be best suited for another family that does not have young children.

Personality: Absolutely sweet as can be, he loves attention and snuggling. His personality is calm and he likes to lounge around most of the time. He loves to play, lay outside, loves other dogs, is very friendly with them. He is a protector but with a few sniffs and rubs he warms up to anyone. He loves to be outside, has been trained with a Halo collar so he does not leave the yard even when it is not on him. He listens to commands, comes right away when called. He needs to play everyday, we take him out in the mornings and afternoons and throw the ball to him. He is great at catch – it’s his favorite game. He also likes going on his daily walks. He is also fine to be home alone.
House Trained and/or crate trained? He has been house broken since 6 weeks old and has never had an accident in the house. He is crate trained.

Any bad habits or things that need to be worked on with him/her? Food guarding, but no issues outside of this at all.

Dog good with kids, cats, or other dogs? He has been great with kids and loves them – however I recommend no small children due to his food guarding and children may not know not to touch at this time.

Animals vetting history (neutered/spayed, vaccinations, microchipped)?: He is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives. He is not micro chipped

Any Supplies that go with pet (food, leash, collar, bedding, toys): Food, leash, personalized collar, crate, toys, we can also transfer the Halo collar for free. It is a $500 collar and there is a $10 monthly subscription for creating the GPS zones so that he will not go outside of them.
