Sammy knows absolutely no negativity. She runs entirely on sunshine, happy thoughts, and the belief that every person she meets is her new best friend.

At approximately 7 years old, Sammy is a Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as big as her smile. She currently weighs 113 pounds, which is quite a bit more than is healthy for her size and breed. Since returning to our care, Sammy has started a diet and wellness plan to help her feel her best.

Sammy was originally adopted in 2022 and recently found herself back at the shelter due to housing circumstances beyond her family's control. She returned alongside her companion, Boone. While the two make an excellent pair and would certainly enjoy finding a home together, Sammy is also available to be adopted on her own.

It's difficult to imagine a home where Sammy wouldn't fit right in. She adores people, enjoys other dogs, and still has plenty of playful energy despite being a mature lady.
