* Good with children
* Energetic and playful, but also a world-class snuggler
* Walks nicely on a leash and loves sniffing out every little adventure
* Smart, obedient, and eager to learn
* Crate-trained and potty-trained
* Sleeps through the night in his crate with his favorite pillow and blanket
* Neutered, vaccinated, 4Dx negative, and on monthly preventatives

Dante’s story deserves a happy ending.

Dante survived a horrific machete attack, but despite the trauma he endured, he hasn’t lost his ability to love and trust. He has made wonderful progress and is learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. He has experienced some separation anxiety, which has improved over time, so he’ll need a patient, understanding family willing to help him continue building confidence.

Dante is still a puppy with lots of energy and potential. He’ll thrive with daily exercise, playtime, positive training, and a family who will give him the consistency and love he deserves. He has shown no signs of resource guarding his food or toys, and he’s learning his manners every day.

We don’t know yet how Dante feels about cats, but we do know he’s a special boy who deserves a family that sees beyond his past and believes in his future.

Could you be the person who shows Dante what forever love feels like?

Dante is ready to trade his difficult past for a lifetime of belly rubs, adventures, pillows, and cuddles. All he needs is someone to give him that chance.

Dante is currently in our Rescue in Puerto Rico. As soon as we find an interested adapter, we will fly him here to an airport close by
