Hi, I’m Truman!

I’m a handsome 4-year-old black Lab with a big personality, lots of energy, and even more love to give!

I came to YGRR after being found as a stray and brought to Boston Animal Control. No one knows exactly what my life looked like before, but when I arrived, I was definitely on the skinny side. The wonderful people at YGRR are helping me put on some much-needed weight and making sure I’m getting everything I need to feel my best!

One of my absolute FAVORITE things in the world is people. I’m a super sweet, social guy who loves being around my humans and being part of whatever they’re doing. If you’re looking for a dog who will happily join you on adventures and then soak up all the attention afterward, I might be your guy!

I also enjoy other dogs, especially ones who like to play as much as I do. I have plenty of enthusiasm to go around, so a playful canine buddy could be a lot of fun!

I’ll admit, I’m still polishing up my manners. Sometimes I get so excited that I forget all four paws belong on the floor, and I can get a little mouthy during play. I’m working on it! I’m looking for a family who will be patient, consistent, and willing to continue my training so I can become the very best version of myself.

Underneath all that goofy Lab energy is an incredibly sweet boy who just wants a family of his own. Give me some exercise, structure, training, good meals, and lots of love, and I promise to give you one loyal, fun-loving companion in return.
