If youre looking for a loyal, well-rounded best friend who is just as happy heading out for an adventure as he is curling up beside you on the couch, Porter may be your guy.

Porter is a 3-year-old, 55-pound mixed breed (guesses include Lab/Cattle Dog mix) with the cutest black-and-white coat — and one of his favorite things is proudly carrying his toys around wherever he goes.

This handsome boy is neutered, fully vetted, potty trained and wonderful in the house. He walks well on leash, rides nicely in the car, knows commands and has great recall.

One of the best things about Porter is how beautifully he matches his persons energy. Want to hike and explore? Hes ready. Want a quiet afternoon on the couch? He is equally happy to settle in, snuggle up and keep you company.

Porter is past the hectic puppy stage but still young, active and ready for years of adventures with his person. Hes affectionate, smart, trained and already has so many of the qualities people hope for in a dog.

Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time.
