Meet Katie Bug

Katie Bug has been waiting over a year for someone to see what we see in her—and we just cant understand why!

This sweet girl was found abandoned in a home with two other dogs. They were hungry and in need of medical care. Katie was underweight and covered in fleas and parasites, but through it all, she remained as sweet as could be.

We believe Katie is about 6/7 years old, which means shes a little older, a little wiser, and ready for the good life! She loves people, enjoys other dogs, and has been around cats. Shes curious about them, so we think a proper introduction would be best.

Katie is what we like to call a turn-key dog—shes ready to walk right into a loving home and become part of the family.

She was originally with another rescue, but after more than a year without finding her forever home, NYSRR stepped up to give this girl another chance.

Could it be because shes a black dog? Because shes a little older? We honestly dont know. What we do know is that Katie Bug has so much love left to give.

Shes currently being fostered in Louisiana and is patiently waiting for the family who will finally say, Katie, youre coming home.

Dont let her age or color fool you—sometimes the best dogs are the ones who have been overlooked.
