04/14/26 16:02 Zeus is a ~10 year old male castrated bichon mix, small breed dog Intake date: 4/13/26 Zeus has the following assessment on physical exam: - Blind - Keratoconjunctivitis (Dry eye) with chronic cornea changes and incomplete palpebral, appears nonvisual on exam - Anterior uveitis - Oronasal fistulas 104/ 204 - Severe tartar/ gingivitis on remaining few teeth - Heart murmur (grade 3/6) r/o mmvd vs other cardiomyopathy - Regenerative anemia on bloodwork - Severe leukocytosis on bloodwork Zeus was started on gabapentin and tacrolimus and an anti-inflammatory/antibiotic eye drop - there has been no improvement in his tear production or eye condition. Recommendations - Patient needs bilateral enucleation given failure to respond to medical management and blindness. Patient also needs a complete oral health assessment and treatment (dental) with likely extractions. In need of urgent rescue due to comorbidities.
