Ravishing Rory - Bichon Frise and Maltese Dog for Adoption in Carlsbad, California

Hi People!
I'm Ravishing and Respectful Rory, a sweet little Bichon mix of six who is looking for a family to love. I'm a mellow and calm (and gentle) pup who believes that the best things in life are being your companion-- and being as close to my people as possible. Mom says I have the biggest, most expressive eyes and that they tell quite a story. While I'm still coming out of my shell, every day I grow more confident and my personality shines through.

Dad says I'm one of the easiest houseguests he's ever met. I'm completely housebroken, rarely bark, and have already learned the house rules. I like making my people happy and doing the right thing (and they love me for being that way, too!)

Besides having an adorable and cute face, I also do cute things. Like skipping with my back paws whenever I walk or run. It makes everyone smile! I'm also very polite. When I want to join you on the couch, I gently place my paws on your knee as if to say, Excuse me, may I come up and cuddle with you? (And, of course, that makes me hard to resist so Mom and Dad don't try!)

I'm happiest when I'm simply spending time with my people. Whether you're cooking dinner, working at your desk, or relaxing with a good book, I will find a dog bed nearby, curl up, and quietly keep you company. I don't need to be the center of attention! I just like being part of your day.

I get along nicely with other dogs and enjoy meeting new people. While I'm not the type to throw a big party every time I see another dog, I'm friendly and respectful. People, however, are a different story! I make friends quickly and am always happy to see familiar faces.

I'm learning some human words (I think they are called commands) and I come running when treats are involved. I also know "up up" and can stand on my hind legs, which usually earns me smiles and maybe an extra treat or two.

Right now, I'm being treated for a little ear infections but I'm very good about taking my medications. Throughout it all, I've remained the sweet, gentle boy everyone adores.

My BFK Aunties say I'm the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a mellow and loving best friend. I dream about having a forever family where I can spend my days nearby, keeping my people company and reminding them that the little moments in life are often the very best ones.
