Meet Dani
Dani is a 6-year-old, 55-pound sweetheart who got a second chance after being pulled from a San Antonio shelter's euthanasia list in June. She's now safe in boarding, but what she really needs is a soft place to land.
Dani is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves being close to her people. After everything she's been through, she's ready to trade the stress of shelter life for the comfort and security of a home where she can finally relax.
Dani has a hip luxation and would benefit from an FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) to help relieve her pain and improve her quality of life. Despite her orthopedic needs, her loving personality shines through every day, and she deserves a family willing to help her enjoy her next chapter in comfort.
Because she's had a lot of change in a short amount of time, Dani will need time to decompress in her new environment. She would do best as an only dog or with another calm, laid-back dog who will respect her space while she settles in.
The good news? Our rescue will cover Dani's medical care, including her FHO surgery, veterinary care, and ongoing support while she's in foster. You won't be taking this journey alone—we'll be there every step of the way to ensure Dani gets the care she needs.
She's approximately 55 pounds, 6 years old, and up to date on all vaccines. Dani is currently available in Texas for Foster or Foster-to-Adopt and is boarding in San Antonio while she waits for someone to give her the chance she deserves.
Dani survived the shelter. Now she just needs someone to show her what home feels like.
