Nacho practically adopts them.
This young Malinois girl has now had some time to settle into foster care, and while she's still very much a work in progress, one thing has become crystal clear:
She is going to be somebody's absolute ride-or-die dog.
Nacho bonds quickly and deeply with her person. She loves being part of whatever you're doing and is happiest when she has both a job and a relationship.
And make no mistake — this girl wants a job.

Food motivated
Nose constantly working
Fast and athletic
Smart and eager to learn
Her foster believes she has tremendous potential for sports, scent work, SAR, detection work, or any activity that gives her an outlet for both her brain and her body.
She is also wonderfully portable. She settles in a crate at work during the day, enjoys training sessions and walks, and absolutely has an off switch. After exercise and mental stimulation, she's happy to curl up on the couch with her people.
But let's talk honestly about who Nacho is.
She's still young.
She's still learning.
And she's definitely a Malinois.
She's mouthy when excited, occasionally forgets her manners, and can get a little overzealous when toys are involved. She's currently working on boundaries, impulse control, and appropriate interactions with other dogs. She has shown a tendency to correct or snap at other dogs and will need a confident, experienced handler who can continue helping her navigate those interactions appropriately.
Because of that, we're looking for someone who appreciates working dogs and understands that young, talented dogs don't come pre-installed with self-control.
What they do come with is potential.
And Nacho has a ton of it.
She's smart.
She's athletic.
She's affectionate.
She's trainable.
She's driven.
Most importantly, she's ready for someone willing to invest in her.
If you're looking for a dog that wants to do life WITH you, not just beside you, Nacho might be your girl.

MAD Rescue is an official 501c3 foster based rescue organization and does not have a physical location. While our mailing address is in Michigan, the majority of our dogs are not located in the state of Michigan. The physical location of each our our dogs is posted with the name of the pet in the title area.
For transport, if you reside within 4 hours of the pet's fostered location, please be prepared to pick the pet up. For further distances, there is limited transport assistance available, however the applicant will be required to drive no less than half of the total distance.
