Unlike some dogs who rush into every new situation, Keeper likes to take a moment to figure things out. He may be a little reserved at first, but once he realizes you're on his team, his gentle, loyal personality begins to shine.

Right now, Keeper urgently needs a MAD foster or adopter.

Keeper came to us after his elderly owner experienced a hardship and could no longer care for him. Through no fault of his own, his world was turned upside down. Now he's waiting for someone willing to give him the second chance he deserves.

During his evaluation, Keeper showed us exactly who he is. He walked beautifully on leash, showed no resource guarding, and remained calm around small dogs in nearby kennels with no signs of aggression or reactivity. While quick movements initially startled him, he recovered quickly—a testament to his resilience and willingness to trust.

He has a solid food drive, enjoys learning, and will thrive in an active, experienced home that can continue building his confidence. The dog who seems a little unsure today could become someone's most loyal adventure partner tomorrow.

But he can't get there without a place to land.

We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. The physical location of each dog is posted with the name of the pet or in the title area. If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles. The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.
