Luke - Belgian Shepherd Malinois Dog for Adoption in Colleyville, Texas

Luke may be an older boy, but he will still be active whenever he has the opportunity! Luke LOVES the ball - chasing it, chewing it, it doesn't matter, it's his favorite thing in the world and will keep him occupied all day! He can slip a collar, so need to be in a harness when he is outside playing.

Not much phases this boy. He is kid and dog friendly, but prefers dog friends that aren't pushy with their play. We believe he may have lived as an outside dog, so he does tend to mark new places. He is no longer marking inside, but we want to be transparent that he may attempt to do so inside a new home!

He came to us heartworm positive, but went through slow kill treatment earlier this year and has stayed up to date on heartworm prevention since treatment.

We believe Luke is approximately 9 years old. He is fully vetted and comes with a registered microchip. Luke loves his food and needs to lose about 10-15 pounds for better long term joint stability.

OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Raising The Bar Animal rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our out of state adoption fee is $175 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.
