Lady is a 1.5-year-old Belgian Malinois mix weighing around 60 pounds, looking for an experienced, active home that understands high-energy, intelligent working breeds. She was recently surrendered by her family so she can find a more suitable environment where her needs for exercise, enrichment, and structure can truly shine.

This stunning girl is smart, athletic, and highly trainable, with the signature curiosity and drive often seen in Malinois-type dogs. She thrives when she has a job to do—whether thats exploring trails, learning new skills, or joining you on outdoor adventures.

Lady LOVES:

* Long walks, hiking, and outdoor exploration
* Sniffing every scent along the way (nose-to-the-ground adventurer!)
* Being brushed and receiving affection from her people
* Toys and playtime (though she is an enthusiastic toy destroyer, so durable toys are a must!)

Lady has previously lived with another dog and may do well with a canine companion after proper introductions.

Important Notes for Her Ideal Home:

* High-energy, active lifestyle required (running, hiking, enrichment, training)
* Best suited for adopters familiar with working breeds / smart, driven dogs
* If fenced, she will require a high, secure privacy fence and supervised yard time, as she is capable of jumping fences
* Needs mental stimulation as much as physical exercise

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
We do request vet and personal references.
We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
