September 2026: We brought Dorthy Jane into our program in mid September. She was found as a stray covered in HUNDREDS of engorged ticks and she had been scratching the hair off of her ears from the fleas. Sadly, Dorthy Jane's neglect also includes having heartworms, but she is already doing well in our slow-kill program. We'll be doing her blood work soon to see what tick borne diseases she has and will need long treatment for. We will be looking for a loving Foster to Adopt home for for Dorthy Jane in the Chicago area with a safe fenced in yard. She is the SWEETEST little 21lb Beagle. We are so happy to have her in our program.

If you would like to sponsor Dorthy Jane's medical care or maybe help with the cost of his meds, supplements and food expenses, we have PayPal at illinoisbirddogrescue.org VENMO with @illinoisbirddogrescue and ZELLE with info@illinoisbirddogrescue.org
