Hi! My name is Joshua, and I'm one of Momma Maple's "Tree Pups"! We started out as a litter of six, but our sister Laurel was recently adopted. Now, five of us are still waiting for our forever homes!

Our mom, Maple, is a petite 18-pound Beagle mix who took wonderful care of us. Thanks to her, we are all happy, healthy, and thriving. According to our DNA test, we are 54.1% Beagle, 20.6% Shetland Sheepdog, and 8.1% Dachshund, with just a sprinkle of Chihuahua, Poodle and some other breeds mixed in. Since our mom is so small, we expect to stay on the smaller side once fully grown.

Meet the crew:

Birch: The biggest boy of the bunch, weighing in at 8 pounds at 8 weeks old. He is cuddly, easygoing, and Ash’s best buddy. With his tan coat, he looks a bit like a miniature yellow Lab!

Joshua (That’s me!): I’m the goofy, fun "baby brother." I have adorable shorter legs—definitely the Dachshund shining through! And I’m always up for a good wrestling match.

Aspen: She was the runt of the litter, but she has caught up beautifully. She looks the most like Momma Maple with her slim build and long legs. Aspen is smart and independent—she was the first to wean, the first to master squeaky toys, and is already catching on to potty training!

Olive: A sweet, laid-back girl with the fluffiest coat of the group. Like Joshua, she rocks the low-rider look with shorter legs and loves to lounge.

Ash: The coolest guy around! He has a sleek build like his momma, but foster mom says she sees a little Sheltie in his expressive eyes and cute little nose. He’s a happy-go-lucky pup who loves playtime just as much as snuggling.

We are the sweetest Beagle mix puppies and all ready to fill your home with cuddles, puppy kisses, and endless love!

Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full-time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.

The Beagle is a beloved breed known for its friendly nature, curious personality, and distinctive howl. These small to medium sized dogs are incredibly sociable and get along well with both humans and other pets. Beagles are curious and energetic, always eager to follow a scent with their incredible sense of smell, making them excellent hunting and tracking dogs. Their short coat is easy to maintain, and they are adaptable to various living environments, making them popular companions for families and individuals alike.

The Shetland Sheepdog, also known as the Sheltie, is a highly intelligent and agile dog breed popular for its striking resemblance to the Rough Collie. With a lush double coat of fur and a distinctive mane, Shelties are known for their affectionate and loyal nature, making them wonderful companions and family pets. Originating from the Shetland Islands, these energetic and trainable dogs excel in various canine activities, such as obedience, agility, and herding, showcasing their versatility and adaptability.
