For the first nine years of her life, Duo lived in a biomedical breeding and research facility, never knowing the comfort of a family or the joy of being loved.

Today, her favorite thing in the world is human affection. Watching her discover cuddles, gentle pets, and simply being close to her people is both beautiful and heartbreaking.

Duo is looking for a quiet retirement home where someone is home most of the time. After years without companionship, all she wants is a cozy couch, a few leisurely strolls around the yard, and a person to love. She is great with other dogs and all humans!

She has made tremendous progress learning how to be a house dog. Duo is potty trained when taken outside on a regular schedule, will use pee pads if needed, and is fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Because she's still gaining confidence, Duo is looking for a home in the Atlanta area with a securely fenced yard and at least one friendly resident dog to help show her the ropes.
