Shortie - Beagle Dog for Adoption in Rushville, Illinois

Shortie was born on May 22, 2026. She is a beagle/husky mix. Shortie is super playful and loves cats, dogs, and people. As of August 17, she weighs 14.7 lbs. We have her mother also who weighs 38 pounda, so she won't be a large dog. She has had two distemper/parvo vaccines so far and will need a third on August 25. A POTENTIAL ADOPTER MUST BE ABLE TO BRING HER TO RUSHVILLE FOR NECESSARY VETTING, including her spay. Adoptions are half price for the month of August. $82.50 for a fully vetted puppy!

All dogs up for adoption are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on distemper, parvo, kennel cough and rabies vaccinations. All have been heartworm tested and treated, if necessary. SCHS treats for worms and ear mites along with a flea and tick preventative.

We welcome visitors Tuesday evenings 4-7 p.m. Saturday mornings 9 a.m. to noon. Sundays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You may also schedule an appointment at a time that is more convenient for your schedule. Call 217-322-2220 if you have any questions or concerns.
