Junie's original owner passed away and the apartment manager just opened the door and shoo-ed the animals out. Junie then walked around until she was let into the home of a nice couple. She quickly made best friends with their pittie and when the woman who lived there came home, they were both sound asleep together on the bed. The Pet Resource Center was contacted and after thirty days, Junie had found a new home. Unfortunately, the husband lost his job and a new baby was added to the household. Since finances were stretched thin, Junie was surrendered to the Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue. Junie’s very well behaved. She is just looking for a comfy bed or couch to lay on. She is house-trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside. We are in the process of teaching her how to use a dog door. She knows basic commands- sit, stay, and down. Junie is great with dogs of all sizes.Sometimes she has shown a stubborn side when walking on a leash and she has decided to go a different way than the people. With a little coaxing, she walks nicely. Junie is a short girl and it looks like she might have a little basset in her since her body is long. Her legs are very short. Junie is really adorable. She does need to lose weight since she is pudgy. Her hair is super soft. Junie needs a forever home. Won't you make her yours?
