Penny - Beagle and Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Oak Ridge North, Texas

Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Penny.

Penny is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.

Meet Penny!

Penny is a 9 year old female Beagle / Lab mix who currently weighs 60 pounds. Penny is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find her forever home!

Penny came to us as an owner surrender when her family had a baby. She had been with them for 9 years and now she's looking for a new family.

Penny is dog friendly and currently lives with another dog in her foster home (that was also surrendered with her). We would say that Penny has a moderate energy level and she plays great with other dogs!

Penny is also cat friendly and currently lives with cats. She just leaves them alone and lets them do their own thing.

Penny is kid friendly and has been around children ages 6 months - 6 years. She's never had any issues around kids.

Penny walks great on a leash! She will stay calmly by your side. She doesn't pull and just sticks right with you.

Penny is fully potty trained! She's never been in a crate, but does great if left to free roam. She just relaxes on the couch until you get back home.

Here's a small blurb about Penny from her foster family:
Penny is such a good pup! She's incredibly sweet and so funny. She loves her toys and overall is just a great, easy going dog! She's great with meeting strangers or when guests come over to the house. She may be 9 years old, but she still gets little spurts of puppy energy and enjoys playing with her toys. She always has a toy in her mouth and will be your little shadow around the house. She is great in the car and will just sit back and enjoy the ride. Everyone that meets her falls in love with her!
