Ideal Home / Adopter: Junie B. Jones would do well in a home that is active and wants to include her in their daily activities. She loves to run and play in the yard but can also entertain herself with toys and settles well when there is no one to play with.

Likes: Junie B. enjoys playing with other dogs and roaming the yard checking out all the smells. She is independent and likes sunbathing on nice days but wants to be by your side or on your lap when you are inside.

Dislikes: We haven't really discovered anything Junie B. Jones doesn't like. She walks well on a leash other than sometimes needing encouragement to quit smelling and keep moving (she is a hound!).

What makes this dog special? As beagles/hounds go, Junie B. Jones is on the quieter side and is not food obsessed. She has a cute high pitched howl when she chooses to use it but we don't hear it that often. She does like her treats but takes them gently and is working on learning to catch treats and to shake. She mastered sit in a few days and seems very trainable. She sleeps in the crate at night for 8+ hours in the room with her people and doesn't make a sound.

Junie's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, deworming, and the dog will be current on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative.
