Hi there! I'm Chubby the Bear, and I'm looking for my forever home! Let me tell you a little secret about me: I am slow to warn up but once I do.. game over.. my favorite thing in the entire world is LOVE. Cuddles, neck rubs, chin scratches, belly rubs, full-body massages... if you're offering, I'm accepting!
My happy place? Wherever YOU are! Whether we're snuggled up on the couch watching TV, hanging out in my dog bed while you cook dinner, or just relaxing together, I'm happiest when I'm near my people. I'm a total lovebug who wants to be part of your everyday life. I'm happy sleeping in my own dog bed, but if my foster mom invites me into her bed, you better believe I'm taking her up on that offer!
Now, don't let my little legs fool you! I LOVE going for walks and runs, and I can easily handle a few miles a day. I'm a little nervous around unfamiliar people and other dogs when we're out walking, and sometimes I react to them, but my foster mom is helping me work on my confidence. With patience, guidance, and someone willing to help me succeed, I'm working on becoming my best self.
When it's time to play, I'm always up for a good game of tug-of-war! I also love chewing on my Nylabones, so I'm perfectly happy entertaining myself with my favorite toys.
And guess what? I've been a VERY good boy in my foster home! I haven't had any accidents in the house so far. When my foster mom goes to work, she keeps me safely gated in the kitchen, where I spend my day playing with my toys and taking lots of naps. She even checks on me with a camera, and I'm a little gentleman while she's away!
At the end of the day, I'm really just a simple guy. I want a person (or family!) to love, a cozy place to nap, some adventures to go on, and plenty of opportunities to snuggle my way right into your heart.
