Bugle Boy is a young beagle mix with sad eyes that tell a story we may never fully know. Pulled from a high-kill shelter in Alabama, this sweet boy came to us carrying more than just fear — we believe somewhere along the way, someone hurt him.

At first, Bugle Boy can be cautious and unsure. He watches quietly, almost like he’s waiting to see if kindness is real. But once he learns you’re safe, his whole world changes. He melts into your arms, leans in for affection, and wants nothing more than to be held close and loved. ❤️

He’s incredibly smart, playful, and deeply affectionate with his people. Underneath the fear is just a gentle soul desperate for someone who won’t give up on him.

Bugle Boy does need the right home. He cannot be trusted around chickens or farm animals, so he’ll need a family that understands his limitations and can keep him safe and successful.

What he truly needs most is someone patient enough to show him that the scary parts of his life are finally over. Somewhere along the way, humans broke his trust. We would love nothing more than for someone to help put the pieces back together. 🐶


This pet is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, has received parasite prevention, and will be neutered before adoption. All of this is included in the adoption fee.
