This beautiful Beagle girl is about 6 years old and weighs 29 pounds. Ruby was surrendered to a shelter when her family was moving and could not take her with them. Needless to say, after living in a home, the shelter environment did not sit well with her. Thankfully, Ruby is now safe and settling into a Memphis-area foster home.
Ruby is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworms and is current on heartworm and flea prevention.
And according to her foster dad, she is one of the sweetest dogs he has ever been around! Ruby is an incredibly loving girl with such a sweet disposition. She gets along with other dogs, is good with cats and kids, rides well in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and is housebroken. What more could you ask for?
Although Ruby does great with other dogs, she would also be perfectly happy as the only canine in the home, soaking up all the love and attention for herself.
Now, she IS a Beagle, and we all know what that means: the nose sometimes controls the brain! Ruby loves to sniff, explore, and follow all those fascinating scents, so a securely fenced yard is a must for her. She is also not an apartment kind of girl. She needs a yard where she can safely enjoy doing exactly what Beagles love to doexplore!
