Meet Steven -- Just a Little Boy Who Got Lost 🐾❤️

Some dogs arrive at Ark with big stories. Steven's story is simple: he was a little boy lost in the Scott/Howe area, and no one came to take him home.

But before he came to Ark, Steven found himself in the right place at the right time. A family with three young children found him, kept him safe, and gave this little stranger a name -- Steven. We think they did pretty well, because Steven it is! ❤️

Steven is an adorable Beagle mix with that lovable little hound-dog look that makes you want to scoop him up and tell him everything is going to be okay. He is gentle, affectionate, and just plain GOOD.

There's something especially endearing about Steven. He isn't trying to be the biggest personality in the room or demand all the attention. He just seems happy when someone stops to spend a little time with him--as if he's quietly hoping every person might be his person.

We may never know where Steven was headed when he was found wandering, but we know exactly where we want him to go next: HOME.

A soft bed. A family. A yard to sniff around. Someone calling, "Steven!" because they love him and want him to come running--not because he's lost.
