Chance - Beagle Dog for Adoption in Junction City, Kentucky

Sometimes, all someone needs is a chance.

Chance is a young Beagle mix, around 1-2 years old, whose life could have ended before it truly began. After being found as a stray, he ended up in an overcrowded shelter where, through no fault of his own, he was placed on the euthanasia list at Bell County Shelter. They have 75% euthanasia rate, where only one out of every four dogs makes it out alive.

Thankfully, he was given the second chance that inspired his name.

While his past is a mystery, it's clear that life hasn't always been kind to him. Chance can be a little timid when meeting new people, but you can almost see him wanting so badly to believe that this time, things will be different. With a little patience and kindness, his walls begin to come down, revealing the sweetest, most loving boy.

He's currently thriving in a foster home where he's learning that people can be gentle, that home is a safe place, and that love doesn't have to be temporary.
Every day, his confidence grows a little more, and watching him discover the joy of simply being a dog has been nothing short of beautiful.

Chance adores kids, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and would make an incredible addition to a family willing to let him blossom at his own pace. Whether he's curled up beside you on the couch, following you around the house, or enjoying time in the yard with his canine friends, he's happiest knowing he's finally safe.
