Presley is a sweet boy who may be a little shy when you first meet him, but it doesn't take long for his gentle personality to shine through. As he gains confidence, he continues to come out of his shell and enjoys spending time with his people.
He's doing well with the other dogs and is very food motivated, making him eager to learn and a great candidate for continued training. Presley is also discovering the joy of play and is becoming more playful every day.
He's making great progress with leash walking and loves taking his time to sniff and explore the world around him. With a patient family who will let him settle in at his own pace, Presley is sure to become a loyal, loving companion.
Presley is from the Ridglan Farms breeding and test facility. These Beagles are generally affectionate, resilient, and eager to experience the joys of life beyond the laboratory. At the same time, they have unique needs. Many are naturally skittish and easily frightened, making them significant flight risks. They also possess the curiosity, determination, and remarkable sense of smell that have been bred into Beagles for more than 500 years. Once a Beagle catches an interesting scent, following it is instinct, not disobedience.
Because of this, there are a few extra steps to the adoption process. Veterinary records are reviewed, applicants are asked to complete a questionnaire and watch a Zoom session that includes frank discussions and realistic expectations
