You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Teela is a belly dancer! Her whole body wiggles when she is happy and her facial expressions are adorable. She has a warm and friendly temperament and adapted easily in her foster home. She gets along well with the senior boy beagle in her foster home but we think she is more focused on people. Affection will be an important aspect of her forever home. Teela has a higher energy level and, although her leash walking skills are improving, we'd really recommend a fenced yard for her. She is a very typical beagle outside with her nose to the ground and goes nutso when she sees squirrels or bunnies. She goes right to the chase so we doubt she would be good with cats. On neighborhood walks Teela likes meeting new people and has learned which neighbors carry dog treats in their pockets. She has also done well when meeting children. Her house training has been going well and at night she enjoys cuddling in bed with her dad. When left alone she is crated and is fine with it, but so far she's only been left alone for up to 2 hours in the crate. Teela is a busy girl but enjoys her quiet time especially cuddling in a lap. She will play with toys periodically but is not possessive of them. Food motivation...well on a scale of 1-10 she is an 11, but no food aggression and she is fed in her crate. Teela is heartworm positive and will be ready for treatment in early September. We anticipate her being ready for a sleepover by mid-September.
