Woody - Beagle and Basset Hound Dog for Adoption in Dallas, Georgia
WOODY
Beagle, Basset Hound
🇺🇸
Dallas, Georgia
October 12th
male, small, young
DESCRIPTION
Woody is a 4 month old, tan with white, 14-15 lb. Beagle/Bassett mix. He is long, short and just adorable! We guestimate he will be about 25-30 lbs. full grown. He and his brother were rescued from animal control when their time was up after being found as strays and no one went to reclaim them.
We don't adopt out littermates to the same home, so they are up for adoption individually. They both have the cutest long bodies and short little legs you've ever seen. He is great with other dogs, love kids and Beagles make the best family pets!
Woody is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated, had all their vaccinations so they are current for the year and they are on monthly heartworm prevention.
If you're interested in adopting him, please send us a completed dog adoption application off of our website. It's really just a simple Google Doc.
He can go home on Saturday 10/17/2026!
ABOUT: BASSET HOUND DOG BREED
The Basset Hound is a unique and recognizable breed known for its long body, droopy ears, and soulful eyes. Originating from France, they were originally bred for hunting small game like rabbits due to their keen sense of smell and sturdy build. Despite their laid back and affectionate nature, Basset Hounds are also persistent and independent thinkers, which can make training a bit challenging. With their low energy levels and love for lounging, they make wonderful companion dogs for families seeking a loyal and easygoing pet.
The Beagle is a beloved breed known for its friendly nature, curious personality, and distinctive howl. These small to medium sized dogs are incredibly sociable and get along well with both humans and other pets. Beagles are curious and energetic, always eager to follow a scent with their incredible sense of smell, making them excellent hunting and tracking dogs. Their short coat is easy to maintain, and they are adaptable to various living environments, making them popular companions for families and individuals alike.
