Hi, my name is Balsam

I may have been the smallest puppy in a litter of 10, but I've been a fighter from the very beginning. When I was just 3 weeks old, I was diagnosed with puppy strangles, a rare, non-contagious autoimmune skin condition that affects puppies. Being so tiny, my little body struggled hard, and I went from 4 pounds to less than 2 pounds.

I spent many days in the hospital with a feeding tube helping me grow strong again. I wasn't a big fan of the tube, but I absolutely loved all the snuggles and extra love I received while I healed.

Today, I'm thriving and showing everyone just how resilient I am. I'm sweet, loving, and full of puppy spirit. My journey may have started out tough, but it's only made me appreciate every cuddle, every play session, and every person who loves me even more.

Now I'm ready to find a forever family to continue my happy ending.
